Hangzhou is famous for Longjing (Dragon Well) green tea — buy from Meijiawu village for authenticity. Hangzhou silk has been prized since the Tang Dynasty. Other specialties: Wang Xing Ji hand-painted fans, Zhang Xiaoquan scissors (made since 1663), and Tianzhu chopsticks. Hefang Street and the area around Wushan Square are the best shopping districts.
